WISC-IV Training DVD

Recent feedback from psychologists in the field has prompted us to develop a WISC-IV training DVD.  Additionally, recent recent research also suggests that graduate students make far too many mistakes administering the WISC-IV.  Research published in the September 2007 issue of the Journal of Psychoeducational Assessment suggests that an overwhelming majority of the sample group made and average of 25.8 errors on each protocol administered.  Click HERE for a link to the article.  We are confident that our DVD may help reduce the frequency of those errors.

The WISC-IV DVD will be divided into three comprehensive units: Administration, Scoring, and Interpretation.  Additionally, there will be a section that deals with using the WISC-IV to diagnose learning disorders as specified by the DSM-IV as well as using the criteria commonly used by many US public schools to determine placement of students diagnosed with a Specific Learning Disability.  A sample psycho-social report is included in the .PDF format.

The WISC-IV training program was designed, from the ground up, so that each user (student or professional) could enjoy a permanent and portable supplement to text books and/or lectures.  It also works well as a quick reference tool.   It was not designed for computer lab use.   The program comes on the DVD-ROM format and will play when installed on a properly equipped Mac or PC.  The comprehensive program is replete with very high quality video (853x480 QuickTime) that walks the user through every aspect of Administering, Scoring, and Interpreting the WISC-IV.  Additionally, there are practice exercises and quizzes sprinkled throughout each unit that provide the user with immediate feedback.
